All problems can not be thrown on the teachers; Children should have seen the alphabet before they ever walked into kindergarten. The parents should take it into their own hands to make sure that their child has been introduced to the material early on. If a child has been introduced to letters and simple mathematics before he ever sees a school, he would be ahead of the game and would have a better chance of not falling behind. And of staying on the level that they should be on. So parents should make sure they introduce simple curriculum to their children early. If they are not they could fall into the same trap. Sometimes it may be necessary for a child to stay back a year. Not all children start on the same maturity level. For some it may be too soon to start school at five. If children go into school and they do not have the right level of maturity, they probably will not pay attention; they will be easily distracted and have their minds on other things. The children may not want to be held back but it could be the best thing for them in order to find a level that matches their maturity. In every school, in every class, ever student is different. There are children who have special needs. There is no way that every child can move at the same speed. Special children have special needs and students who learn faster should be able to move faster. It is very important that schools focus more in splitting the class rooms up. This would allow students to move at the right speed for them. If an individual is moved too fast and pushed too hard to learn at a speed that he can not handle, it could discourage the student and make him feel like an underachiever. All of this would make these types of students fall behind very fast and get into holes that eventually they can not get out of.
