For this people, Christmas would not be visiting their homes and lives this year nor would the memory of the Christmas past comfort and bring inner happiness in their hearts. For the privileged few, Christmas would still go on as usual without much problem. The dinner table would still be overflowing with food that the family would not be able to completely consume. There would still be a deluge of gifts and rain of money. Laughter and cheers would be shared with the every member of the family. Most would be oblivious to the sufferings and pain that their neighbor is presently enduring. In every culture there is a different way to celebrate Christmas. This year the difference would not only be prevalent between nations. This year the difference would show among the different classes of people from one nation … the rich and the unfortunate. While one family pour champagne over Christmas dinner the other tries to calm their grumbling stomach over a single can of sardines. While one family sings Christmas carols the other sheds tears for the lost of their love ones. Christmas is more than just another day in the calendar.
