Sec 704 states that it shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer to discriminate against any of his employees or applicants for employment, for an employment agency to discriminate against any individual, or for a labor organization to discriminate against any member thereof or applicant for membership, because he has opposed, any practice made an unlawful employment practice by this title, or because he has made a charge, testified, assisted, or participated in any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing under this title. There should always be an equal employment opportunity for everyone that applies for the job. They came up with a commission that is to be known as Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. It contains five members, not more than three of whom shall be members of the same political party, who shall be appointed by the President by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Commission says at the close of each fiscal year they are to report to the Congress and to the President concerning the action it has taken including: the names, salaries, and duties of all individuals that it employs and the money that it has given out and may make such further reports on the cause of and means of eliminating discrimination and such recommendations for further legislation as may appear desirable.
