R.E.S.P.E.C.T: What it means to me
...g after said time is also unacceptable; it is a rule that they constantly break. The company that I invite over has a tendency to simply leave things lying around. My brother and sister in law will come over, make something to eat and not clean up after themselves. They both leave their soda cans all over the house and dirty dishes on the counter or even outside. I don’t believe that I am the only one to feel that it is both rude and inconsiderate to dirty someone else’s property and then leave the mess for that other person to tidy up. When they do pick things up it’s usually with the intent of taking them home. There have been times when I have gone to make something for dinner and its not there. When I confront or ask my sister in law if she borrowed or took it, she says yes, that she took it because she thought that I didn’t need or want it. I am always telling them that if they need something, all they have to do is ask; taking things without my knowledge or permission constantly leaves me in a bind when I need that item. My brother and sister in law also believe that they need to have the top of the line things.
