...ple but looking at it very seriously it has very serious safety aspects. Such as the handle was placed in a stupid place right above where you filled the kettle so when you picked up the kettle the steam was burning your hands which in my opinion could have easily been avoided by placing the handle on the back as shown in the diagram also the handle would conduct heat because of the fact that it was made of steel and the heat it would conduct was very high because kettles were boiled on the fire not electric. Kettles in them days was more of a luxury item than a practical item until the quarry time when it became an item in most houses but it was still a very dangerous thing to have but it became better when they developed it into a alloy kettle with a wooden handle but it was still very dangerous with steam seeping out of the lid and burning your hands but it was becoming more and more practical and also more and more common for families to have them also they were becoming safer and safer to use and more practical as well.
