Legalise Skateboarding
...habits. Would the authority rather us teens be doing drugs than skateboarding? When teens don’t have anything to do it leads to boredom, and boredom leads to drug use. When I step on my skate I intend to have fun, but apparently having fun is illegal. My family has a very busy schedule and doesn’t really have time to too take me places. My mom works from seven to five and my dad always has a job to do. This is why I depend on my skateboard. When I need to get to school, or appointments or practice I use my skate. This works out fine except that every time I step on my skate I’m risking getting a ticket. So many kids depend on skating for transportation, and now the law is taking this away. This is really affecting my everyday life, and needs to be changed. The first thing people think when they see a skateboarder is “O NO!!” For some reason people are very scared of skateboarders. They think we are going to tear their property up when really were just going to the store. We are not causing any harm, so why is it such a big deal?
