...Also, we were required to write a journal for each week in the class. When I first saw that in the syllabus, I didn’t like it at all, but after I did the first three I kind of got hook onto writing them. The journals were very helpful and useful, because it gave you the chance to review over your notes and course material, and to see how the information covered applies to your personal life. I was astonished by the fact that every single chapter in the book, there was something going on my life that I could apply the class readings to. The role plays were also effective, because it gave the students the chance to see how they would react if they were placed in a real life situation or scenario. The enactments were handles professionally, and hopefully we all can retain something from the role-plays, and if a situation occurs in which we need to demonstrate our helping skills, we could think of how it was handled in the role plays. Professor Gottlieb did a great job in lecturing class. Even though class was early in the mornings, she did a great job of holding everyone attention.
