...nts that we have acquired over the years. As many families do, we place an angel at the top. Putting up Christmas decorations is one of the best parts about Christmas. It brings a family closer when they put up all of their Christmas decorations together. Once they have finished they can all take a step back, admire the work of art they have created, and say, “Man I love Christmas.” Christmas decorations have always brought a sense of competition between neighbors, friends, and enemies. Even though adults may not admit to it deep down inside, they want their decorations to be better than the neighbors’. Sometimes, though, people can cross the line with their elaborate decorations. People, such a house I saw on Main Street, have multiple inflatable characters. Aside from looking completely tacky, they often blow over in our lovely winter climate. Other people, like a house on Union Street, cross the line with tons of strands of lights. I can see these houses from nearly a mile away. The worst part is that the lights lack color coordination and uniformity. Now, I don't want to sound like one of the "Fab 5" here, but people like this need to realize that their excessive decorations are altogether unnecessary. I do,...
