... see has the American flag or colors flying proudly. A good thing that came from this tragedy is that people jumped in to lend a hand. Firefighters from all over the country came to help out and rescue and search teams from other countries came to help find victims. Normally you have to beg people for blood donations, but this time they waited hours across the nation to donate their blood. September the 11th changed me as a person. Before then I loved America, but did not pay attention to the news and things that were happening in the world today. I honestly did not care to watch the news. Then the day that changed my life happened. As all of the terrorist attacks were going on I thought “How could someone so mean and full of hate do something like this?” This question still runs through my mind. I never really knew how evil people could be. On that day, America and the world united through these awful attacks. We suddenly became one. Throughout that day we were brought together by these violent and sudden acts of terrorism. We saw pictures on the news of many different countries mourning for our crisis and we also received many condolence calls to President Bush from many countries’ ambassadors and political leaders. There was always something on the news about the attacks and the victims. So many people died that day while we all watched. It really was the day America cried. It was really upsetting to Americans who saw on the news or read in magazines that when the attacks happened and word got out of the attacks that Palestinians and Afghans were jumping around with joy in the streets because of the attacks.
