...ll have a couple of ups and downs. Journal # 2 Ji-Li’s family is basically harassed by the government and her father in lock down was horrible. The government came a couple more times but by then they did not really have much to take. Journal #1 The book Red Scarf Girl by Ji-Li Jiang helps me understand more of the Chinese culture along with how the change of government is. During the beginning she was unsure if the revolution was bad. Later on she starts to see the effects of such a large movement. I think it is very sad how a whole nation could want to change the government that much if they did not do much research. I would hate to be Ji-Li especially since this story is based on real-events. The whole event would be really much more worse if the government was opposing your parents jobs and coming into your house and robbing you. Second if I was Ji-Li I would feel very depressed most of the time. So far this book is very good and I think it will have a couple of ups and downs.
