...covering up the cemetery with tons of garbage is really preserving it, or respecting their ancestor’s history. I mean, who could really argue that they would rather have their ancestors burials covered up by trash in a landfill, rather than have it studied by scientists whom most likely have decent intentions? I seriously doubt anybody could do that with a straight face. However, in a case of people like the Native American, I would lean more towards the opposite. I feel Native American have a right to decide whether scientists have the right to dig up their relatives for research. After all these scientists are most likely the same descendants of the people whom wiped out the Native Americans culture completely. Now they want to dig some of those people up. That is a little ridiculous. However, to the best of my knowledge the African Americans were not driven out unwillingly. So I do not see any reason to keep the cemetery and everything else under there, covered with trash. How is that going to do any good in any sort of way? Its not like having this cemetery (or any cemetery) buried under layers of trash is useful in any way. I seriously doubt families are trekking down to the cemetery with sho...
