The most inclusive category for classifying groups of similar organisms is the kingdom. There are 5 kingdoms and not more plus one unofficially kingdom. Only 2 kingdoms are generally used the plant and the animal kingdom , but at all there are 5 established kingdoms. The 5 Kingdoms : 1. Kingdom Animalia ( Animal kingdom ) Example : Multi-cellular motile organisms, which feed heterotrophically (humans) 2. Kingdom Plantae ( Plant Kingdom ) Example : Multi-cellular organisms, which feed by photosynthesis ( tulips ) 3. Kingdom Protista (protest kingdom ) Example : Protozoa and single-celled algae 4. Kingdom Fungi ( Fungus kingdom ) Example : yeast 5. Kingdom Monera (Monera kingdom) Example : Bacteria and blue-green algae Parallel to these kingdoms but not included are the viruses .
