... spend more money so that the people of Canada can only boast about how many medals our country has won, when we have people lying on the streets and people that are in desperate need of better health care. MOre funding towards athletes takes away money that could go toward mre needing causes such as education, lower tuition fees, cancer research, charaties, health care, shelters and towards improving the environment. Suere the olympics are great, but should living a safe and healthy lifestyle be more important to Canadians. ASk yourself this, Is funing for athlets more important than other aspects of life that efffect everyone, such as health care and education?
