...yed working with young children because they are full of such joy and personality. I feel that there is nothing comparable to watching a child exploring and discovering new knowledge. Teaching is a way for me to continue to be involved in the lives of children; making a difference by using my own knowledge to support their path of continued growth. Children are the future and if I can make a difference in the life of on child, I will be satisfied. I believe that children should be taught and guided by caring and creative teachers. Knowledge is best learned through support, exploration and discovery. I will follow this idea in my own teaching experiences to provide the children I teach with every opportunity to learn. I strive to make my teaching child-centered by using myself as a model. I believe that all students are different and those differences should be accepted and supported in the classroom. Children have different experiences and cultures and they should be taught to be accepting of themselves and of others. I have come to this belief through my own experiences of not feeling accepted. Throughout my education I struggled with a learning disability which made me feel very different than other children. If I would have been provided with a more accepting learning environment I think my experience would have been more positive.
