...w pictures and they learned how to communicate. As time went on there we people who once lived in the green land called the sahara, people lived there with water and wildlife. As time went on the weather changed and the plain had dried up and became a desert. The people who lived there left to find water and ended up in Egypt. Along the nile river civilization began. Great rulers called pharaohs were the kings of ancient Egypt. When they passed they were buried in giant tombs known as pyramids. Pyramids today are one of the seven wonders of the world. The Greek city states and the golden age. The greeks were thinkers, people with golden ideas. Most early civilizations were mainly farming societies. The Greek civilazation however was different, things were dry and they were surrounded by the sea on all sides so they became traders. In my studies of unit four, it was based on the middle ages. The period of European history extended from the fall of Rome in a.d. 476 to about a.d. 1450. Around this time big cities and large civilizations began to rise. Art and ideas were coming out more than ever. Writing became more efficient, and there were many different ways o communicating. As the time came around nations all had big cites, armies, and kings that ruled them. People began to notice that other countries had things that they didn’t and they wanted it. So many invasions were taking place and cities were being taken over. A man named Columbus set out on a voyage to find land and things that have not been found. Columbus’ first voyage was in the year of 1942. Shortly after that people began to bring slaves back to America from Africa. This is when the slave trade began. In 1776 a man named Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was known for his beliefs, writings, and support of American independence. One of the biggest changes in the world was the Industrial Revolution which began in Britain in 1750. In the 1800’s idustrialization started to spread throughout the world, it spread to France, Germany, United States, Russia, and finally Japan.
