...kes Walter think that Ruth does not care about him, or his dreams. Walter says to Ruth, "Man say to his women: I got me a dream. His women say: Eat your eggs" (I,i). Mama and Beneatha also have a few problems. They have different beliefs on god and they fight about Beneatha saying how she does not love Walter Lee. Certainly, there are a few man verses society conflicts in the play. One conflict is how they have to deal with racism. They live in the bad side of town and the Younger's are very sick of this. Beneatha tells Asagai, "We've all got acute ghetto-itus" (I, ii). This also foreshadows that they might move. Them moving brings up another society conflict. It is against the Clybourne Park Improvement Association. They do not want the family to move in because they are black. Amazingly, there are quite a few man verses self-problems with the Younger's in the play. Ruth has a problem because she is pregnant. She doesn't know whether or not to keep the baby.
