...ike an older brother, or father type figure. This is nice because Pony never really had a father, besides his older brothers, Soda and Darry. Dallas appears to be the hero of the novel to me because he helps Pony and Johnny when no one else would. My favourite part of the novel is the rumble between the Greasers and the Socs. I like this part because it seems to be the falling action of the characters. The climax of the novel is when Johnny kills Bob. This is the climax because it’s the part in the novel where all the action starts to occur, all of the people start fighting. The falling action is the best part of the novel because it seems to be the most interesting. The rumble shows the characters for who they are, and deletes the stereotypes that are previously made in the novel. The Socs are just like the Greasers when it comes down to the end, the are human, and able to be hurt. My favourite part of the novel, and my favourite character relate to me because I have an interest in self defence, and I look out for my friends and family. I think the “gangs” of the novel ...
