Ground Hog Day

...ery night hoping that the next day would not be the same, but it kept repeating. He saw the same people everyday on the way to the Groundhog Day event and they would say the same thing every day. Connors walks out of his hotel room and sees the same man coming up the stairs every day. He goes down stairs and talks the same woman every day and she asks about the weather and he helps himself to some coffee as he walks out of the hotel and goes to the park for the news event. He walks past a homeless man everyday and searches his pockets signaling to the homeless man that he has no money, or at least wants him to think he has no money, and following that a man from years back recognizes Connors while Connors has no clue who the man is. So going about the same experience everyday made him go insane. So he started to think to himself, that he should just have fun and do things that may not be morally correct, but since tomorrow for him will be the same day, he just has some fun, and as said earlier, he even tried to kill himself. One day he asked Rita to spend the day with him and he told her about his whole situation on how he kept living Groundhog Day everyday. She didn’t believe Connors but as the day went on she was having fun with Connors and realized he was an okay guy, and she started to believe him. They talk throughout the night and she stays with him. The next morning he realizes it is not Groundhog Day anymore, he rushed to the window and he saw that it had snowed a good amount and that no one was walking to the park. He checked out of the Hotel and right when they started walking off the porch he said “lets move here”. So he grew to love the town and wanted to stay. This movie relates to Operant Conditioning, which we have been learning in class recently.
