Also, it was mildly annoying how everything happened so conveniently. Oedipus wanted to know what the oracle said, and at that moment Creon came in and told him of Lauis’ murder. Then, it was also quite convenient that the Corinthian messenger was the same shepherd who gave Oedipus to Polybus and Merope. Too many things fell into place within a very short period of time. This story was a success...
