...Ireland in the 1920’s during a civil war. He spots another sniper on a building and tricks him to believe that he had been shot. Once the other sniper rises he is immediately shot. The curious sniper goes to if he knew the person and when he roles over the body he realizes that it is his brother. In “The Scarlet Ibis” a boy with a physically challenged brother nick-named Doodle who is told he will never walk or be able to do what the other kids do. Being ashamed of Doodle his brother spends every day teaching him to conquer his troubles and be able to walk. After he overcomes his challenges everyone is proud of him and he is almost ready to join his brother in school. Then one day Doodle stresses is heart too much trying to catch up to his brother who is teasing him and dies. In a way both stories are different. In “The Sniper” the sniper kills his brother dire...
