...ird. Not to tight and not to soft. This is the way you need to control the people if you’re going to be a good dictator. This bird story was a good example of Stalinism. Early in his dictatorship he had a 5 year plan. This plan consisted of industrializing Russia, making collective farms, and finally a command economy. In 4 years he would try and succeed in industrializing Russia from 100 years in debt. This was one of his greatest feats. Collective farms would make it easier to control the people. He took all the farms in Russia and added them together; this made the people starve to death because all the food that was made would go to the government. Command economy would allow the government of Russia to control all the factories and farms. All the income would go to the government. One other thing that Stalin did was purge people. Purging means to get rid of someone or something, this is threatening. He would kill off all of his oppositions, so that no one could stand in his way of becoming a great dictator. He would kill off his old friends that knew how he operated. One of his biggest “jobs” was killing of his biggest opposition; Trotsky.
