...ife of George now he had to be cognizant of George’s past. When they take a glance on George’s past they look at some of the major event of his life. They looked at when him one winter day when he was with his little brother and some friends. The outstanding thing that made this day so special was that George pulled a heroic act when his bother nearly drowned in freezing water. George jumped in and saved his brothers life which caused him to get an ear infection. The ear infection was terrible, it made him loose hearing in that ear. Another day they looked at is when he was telling people how when he gets older he going to travel the world and build stuff. The angel looked at many other incidents. The sad thing was that George never left Bedford Falls. He ended up sending his brother to college and taking over the family business after his father sadly passed away. The Angel was then sent to the Christmas in Present day Bedford falls where George Baily was thinking of ending it all. George was really thinking of leaving his wife and kids so he wouldn’t be stressed. The angel had to act fast. The angel decided to use a technique I like to call “If I wasn’t There...”. I call it this because the angel took George back to the past to show if he wasn’t living how badly it would alter the life of the people closest to him. For example the angel showed him the tombstone of his younger brother who had died from drowning in the freezing water. Which then led to the people in the army who his brother saved to die in the future. Also his wife who so desperately didn’t want to become an old maid, did. George saw many other examples and was heartbroken of life in his town without him. Next George started crying on a bridge and started praying to the heavens. When the god answered his prayers. He was sent back to present day were he owed a big debt to the Bank. Earlier that day when his uncle went to drop off $8,000 to the bank he accidently gave the money to Mr. Potter.
