Trip to Tibet warning!!!!
... the bus that these 4WD would ever get to us. Imagine our surprise when we stuck at a few extremely dangerous landslides only to watch in amazement at least over ten 4WD overtake our bus smoothly over the landslides. Now how do these 4WDs get thru and ours just happens to be stuck soemwhere. This was not the only situation that we were caught in. Being on the bus meant that we spent most of the time on the bus and literally no time seeing any of the sites. At one stage we realised that some of the places we were promised on the itinerary would be missed because the Tibetan guide was adamant that he was right and we were wrong. So we even had to fork out of pocket transport and entry to missed places that was supposed to be covered. When we came back to Singapore, we decided to lodge a complaint. Mind you, being ppl very used to roughing it out and not minding some changes had we been informed about them, we were sorely disappointed with Pacwest's response which was to just shift blame to other ppl for the situations we were put in. I can't forget to mention, that at one point while travelling back to Nepal (finally in a 4WD probably in an attempt to pacify us) our driver was hurtling down the windy roads with us fearing for our lives. I can handle fast and furius driving but he was absolutely wreckless and on many occassions he had to shake the steering wheel vigorously in order to turn it. Anyway, to cut this long winded whinge..... think about taking the trip with another company. that's my grumble and whinge for today.... and hopefully the first and last one. annoyed one.
