...n if this story works, what emotions it ewake, if I have sympathies with the writer, and if it touched me personaly. Yes, this story definetly works for me. And that is because of these following points. First of all the story is short. That makes it easy to overview the thematics. It is easy to follow the story through its scheme and the uncomplicated composition and style makes it convinient to read. At last the happy ending of course works for me, because I really wouldn`t like to finish the story with a bad feeling. So now we already came to point two on the list: what emotions did the story ewoke? By describing a beautiful day with boundless blue skies, walking through the backyard with his sisters`s parakeet on his finger the author suggests an happy feeling. Then suddenly the bird flies away bringing sadness and anger into the picture because of his stupidity going out without caging the bird. But at the end, by knowing that the parakeet found a new home and lived happy ever after, it releaves the reader giving him hope to look at the world as a good place and making him think about funny connections that life sometimes creates, as he reads, that infect the authors best friend was the one that found his bird. Now I come to the last two points. These are asking if I do sympathise with the author and if the story touched me personaly. And yes, it did.
