The Australian Aboriginal people already lived in poverty and despair; they were barely educated, wore rags as clothes and barely had a place to live. There was no place to call home so there really wasn’t food to be put on the table. The Australian Aboriginal people had it bad. The Native Americans also suffered from many of these same issues. Most of them were evicted from their land and had to live on reservations. The reservations were crowded and filthy. They had very little food to feed all of the people who lived there. Their children were not allowed in the schools because of their color. If they did attend school it was very strict and they were only taught about the way the whites thought they should live. The white race and the natives were very segregated. The natives didn’t have the money and the time for their children. They worked those hard back breaking jobs the white people didn’t want, at a salary that wasn’t adequate. The Native people had a hard struggle. Both the Natives and the Australians were faced with many life altering circumstances. Their lives were devastated by a certain race.
