...eing in the fourth grade and my mom asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I told her I wanted to be a “baby doctor”. Even though I can still remember being scared of the doctor, I always knew that his intentions were noble and he wanted to help me. I wanted to do the same for others and today I still have the same drive that I had when I was in elementary school. I have seen firsthand the skills it takes to be a doctor. It is not a career that is decided over night. My father is a physician and by watching him, I’ve noticed that this career takes patience, dedication, loyalty and hard work. I have acquired these traits, but by attending the PEP program, I am willing to make these all stronger to help me pursue my goals. I am the youngest of four children in my family, and none of my older siblings have had the commitment to be in the medical field. I see myself as someone who has the commitment and desire to do this. In aspiring to becoming a physician, I find it very fulfilling since I will be the only one...
