In general, a roommate is a bit of a pain. They are sloppy, disorganized, and of a lower social status than myself. Without a roommate I have my own space and can do things totally in my own way. There are no stupid fights about things like room temperature and cleanliness. I can have the lights on all the time. And most importantly, I would have no bed time. I could live without winter too.
