I was bored out of my mind and I told myself I would never be an accountant. Ten years later, I have my Masters in Accounting, and I am a very sucessful accountant for a major corporation. I gave accounting another chance in college, and because I ended up with a professor who used real life examples - I was able to understand and love the field. My advice is to put the book aside. The book is a useful tool, but real life examples and hands on goes so far. "T" accounts have their place, but incorporate what the normal, average accountant does everyday. May...
