...tically modifying foods and produce because the whole point of this research and project has been lost. The focus was to help starving and developing countries but now it’s a way for business to make more money. Countries like India are burning the GMOed food and some countries are not even accepting genetically modified food becuause it is a short term fix for a long term problem, and some countries can’t even pay back for the food. In Canada, our government does not even bother to test GMO food; they trust the companies producing the product. Ths is like asking a student to mark their own report cards and the teacher trusts the marks and just approves. There is no law in Canada saying there should be a label going onto produce to say weather it’s organic and or if it was modified. This makes no sense to many citizens ...
