...talitarianism. How is it totalitarian, you may ask? I will explain the workings of the society. The government is called the Party, led by a virtually omniscient leader. Each member of the high and middle-class is carefully monitored using technology. The monitoring is so extreme that it is illegal to even think thoughts that oppose the Party. The language of the Party has been carefully designed to subdue personal emotions and ideas. Without emotions, there can be no rebellion. The Party even has control over history. Through deletion of written records and control of human memory, the past can virtually be changed. The sole purpose of this is to have limitless control over the scope of mankind. If the government can control our memories and our past, they control our future as well. I was one of the few rebels to the Party’s perfect cycle, because I believed the Party was wrong.
