...rying to sell to as many people in as little time. Once I eventually got served I got a red V-Fest t-shirt, with the V-Fest logo on the front and all the bands who were playing listed on the back: Exhausted we sat down to figure out a schedule to if what bands we wanted to see. We decided upon the main bands we were seeing were; The Killers, The All-American Rejects, Athlete, Dido and Muse. We’d then just watch other bands in between. One of the bands I wanted to see had pulled out due to a Dad dying, so I was quite upset about that. We decided to go see who was in the signing tent; it was The All-American Rejects. I got excited. It took us around ten minutes to get round the queue to the front. Josh got a picture with the lead singer/bassist, which he was happy about. We then went and sat down by the V-Fest stage to wait for Athlete to come on. They came on, we jumped up to cheer them on. There were some drunk girls in front of us, who were dancing around in front of us and shouting out the wrong words, which Josh and I were laughing about! After Athlete, we went to the NME stage to see The Killers: we got about thirty rows from the front to see them. The atmosphere in the crown was electric. They played for about forty five minutes , once they finished there was a big queue walking out but we pushed our way through to get two rows from the front to see All-American Rejects! All-American Rejects started playing ant the crowd went crazy, jumping up and down, pushing each other around and screaming lyrics to every song! You could hear the crowd over the singer which was annoying. After their set we went to get some food from one of the stalls, and ten refreshed we set off to walk to the V-Fest stage. As we arrived we saw Faithless, a dance group, were on. So we pretended to dance, dancing through everyone to make our way to the front. Suddenly about one hundred rows from the front, a man picked up josh and put him on his shoulders, Josh looked amazed, looking around at the huge crowd! When Josh came down of this mans shoulders he was astounded. “That was awesome! You should see the crowd, its huge!” We carried on dancing our way to the front and by the end of Faithless we were around four rows from the front of the stage. Next a band called The Charlatans came on, they got a wicked reaction, with the crowd joining in the set and having fun. Then Dido, I’d never usually listen to Dido but she played one of the most amazing sets I’d ever seen! Eventually Muse, the band I’d been waiting for were next. Messages came on the big screen for the crowd to join in with: “Scream for MUSE!”. It was getting dark during that time, but then suddenly the sky went pitch black! I was feeling and getting really excited. All the lights went off. You saw the shadows from the album come on the big screen sheets at the back of the stage. Then they started playing “songs for absolution”. The crowd went wild. Screaming. All thirty thousand of them. I felt quite proud of myself being four rows from the front and to be right in front of Matt Bellamy, Muse’s singer/guitarist/pianist! From the star...
