Childhood Experience

...was my true passion. And when the day finally came that I would be going to my first major league baseball game and watching my favorite baseball team, I was pumped. The whole way there I couldn’t sit still and when we finally pulled into the parking lot. I burst out of the van and ran to the stadium. It was huge! I had never seen anything like it. It made Saskplace look like a tiny shack. As soon as we entered the building, my eyes lit up. I hadn’t seen anything yet but cement walls and the walkway that leads to the section where our seats were located but just knowing the fact that I was in the same building as some of my favorite baseball players got me excited. And then as soon as we got to the entrance to where our seats were I was blown away at the sight. It was amazing. I was actually seeing a real major league baseball field with my own eyes. There was a TV screen as big as or bigger than my house. This place was like at least as big as four Saskplaces and as tall as three. It was huge. We sat down in our seats and for about ten minutes I just gawked at what was before me. Our seats weren’t the greatest but I didn’t care. We could see the players warming up on the field and I was so amazed because I had always seen them on TV but with my very own eyes, I couldn’t believe it. When the game started, I was on the edge of my seat taking in every little bit that I could. I remember singing along to “Raise a Little Hell” by Trooper in between innings and my mom scolding me for it. I was having the best time of my life.
