... spent the majority with our family and it has been fun, but this is my break also and that means I am a teenager and want to spend some time with my friends. I have tried to be willing to spend time with our family but tonight I just want to be where I feel like I would have the most fun with my friends. Ever since I can remember I have spent New Year’s Eve with my family. It is always a blast but if you do things for fifteen years in a row and you’re a teenager like me, then you might want a little change, and of course, I do. I don’t think either of you could tell me that you have not spent one New Year’s Eve with your friends. Of course I will spend New Year’s Day with my family like usually but it is natural for a girl like me to want to spend the biggest party night of the year with my friends, so don’t think I’m out of the ordinary. Lastly, on New Year’s Eve you are supposed to have the time of your life, and that’s exactly what I want to have. I know what goes on at grandpa and grandma’s house and I know that it is a blast. If I am out with my friends and not having as much fun or feeling as comfortable as I would at our family party, then I will call you immediately and come directly to our family party.
