A Simple Law of Life
...was as I started going to high school. My mom was the one who showed me that TV is a nonsense. She showed me without even telling me. My mom has been a stay at home mother ever since I was born. The only thing she talks about is things she watches on TV becauase it is always on. Growing up around it, I never began to think about what it was doing to my mind. I thought it was completely fine to watch it all day long. Most people can't even see that what TV veiws is mostly commercials. The average American sees 20,000 commercials every year. Why would you want to watch a bunch of people trying to get you to buy something? It's true, I do have to give credit to the educational programs, but every other show is truely an opinion or gossip. Not only TV has an amazingly strong influence on people, but so do the people you are around. Your group of friends. Their opinions may become yours. The city you live in also depends on how you act on the things around you. For instance, when I move out of Brookings, I want to go to a town that can fulfill my needs. As of right now I feel that Brookings is not the town that suites me, even though I love all my friends. Music is the best influence for me. The music I listen to is a happy, joyful sound. I have replaced my terrible TV habbits with listening to music. It doesnt matter what mood I'm in, all I need is my music to make me happy. I hate it when I see people getting teased.
