However, due to the diversity of ethnolinguistic backgrounds and difference in prior educational experience they have to face a lot of adjustment problems. Adequate pre-arrival information and support mechanisms deployed on their arrival are essential to cater for their special needs; otherwise there is likely to be mounting anxiety and failure among the overseas students, and frustration among the teaching staff. 2.1 Globalization This research will firstly demonstrate the present situation of educational globalization and explain the reason why most of the overseas students choose UK to be their target study country.
