...on how they came up with the idea, which was by a so called intelligent man putting his lips to the carpet and sucking up causing him to gag on the dust. The next topic was glass. It mainly says how in the old days when glad would fall to the ground it was said to be reuniting itself with the earth from which it came. It also mentions what life would be life it glass objects were made with different substances such as Styrofoam or lead. Next it talks about roses and their color. This color that is talk about is very irrelevant to the bees that fertilize the rose and the aphids that protect it. Also, it says how people are carrying around many sand particles that land on them through out the day. This sand floats through the air and is originally from the many deserts throughout the world. It then discusses people’s sneezes and the way they talk. One interesting fact that it gave was that a humans sneeze goes at an average rate of 40 mph. when discussing talking, they spend a lot of time discussing the vowels and consonants and their jobs. Another little fact about conversations is that people speak relatively quickly, and you would only hear blurring words if there are not enough pores in the wall to absorb the sound. Once again, as in every chapter, it discusses food. It mostly discussed how rude people can be when they eat and what this rudeness causes, such as a mess. One interesting fact is that to get a good sniff of you food you need to inhale at approximately 20 mph. One reason I enjoy this book is because it effectively describe things in a way that is easy to understand. However, I found this chapter very boring. It didn’t have any topics that I could really relate that well to or find a good interest in. I mean, some parts caught my attention because they were disgusting or weird; however it just wasn’t my favorite...
