... would later prove me wrong. I went from one blue collar job to the next. But no matter how hard I worked at these jobs I found no improvement for my future. What opened my eyes were the long night shifts and the manual labor that came with back aches. It was at that time that my self -esteem and outlook on life was at an all time low. It was at this point I hit bottom-and to my surprise this became the beginning of my journey to fulfill my life long dreams. The journey would consist of me going back to school and obtaining what I should have obtained eight years ago, my high school diploma. For years, like a thief in the night, ignorance robbed me of pride, dignity and opportunity to thrive. For years I worked in dead end jobs trying to compensate for my lack of education. But finally I knew what was important and, realizing this, I enrolled in Linda City Adult School. I always thought it was too late to go back to school but it’s definitely never too late. My plans are to graduate and later to enroll in technical courses that will enhance my horizons. Therefore I now hold a future goal, and that goal is to continue my education towards a career in radiography. Radiography is not just detecting broken bones but also diagnosing other diseases of virtually every system of the body. I have chosen this career path due to my interest in science and the medical field. My education here at Linda City Adult School has illuminated me and changed my life forever. Each one of my instructors has given me the keys to unlock the doors of ignorance. I want to take this time to thank my teachers, Ms. Tucker and Mr....
