The advantages of using television are: · It can provide colour, sound and emotions · It is an intrusive medium · Viewers can identify with situations in advertisements. · Mass, Regional specific coverage available. · Captivity and attention. The Disadvantages of using television are: · Short time of ads restricts the freedom of information passing to customers · Can be very repetitive which will result in boredom/lost of interest, for the viewer. · Costly/time consuming to produce live advertisements for television. · Advertisements shown when most stores are closed, they cannot rush out and take advantage of the item being advertised · Advertisements are not retained for review by the customer. · Can be difficult for viewers to respond Internet The internet a globalize medium which reaches countries world wide and a great information medium. The internet is perhaps the most well-known, and the largest, implementation of internet working, linking hundreds of thousands of individuals networks all over the world. The internet has a range of capabilities that organizations are using to exchange information internally or to communicate externally with other organizations. Internet technology is providing the primary infrastructure for electronic commerce, electronic business, and the emerging digital firm. Advantages of using the internet · Accessible to most via internet café · Informative · Easy shopping · Colourful and attractive · Inexpensive method of gaining web presents. Disadvantages of using the internet · Not everyone can afford to have the internet in their homes Campaign Benz Car has been in operations for the past eight years. Sales have not been great for the past year. They have been loosing customers because their competitors have been driving their prices down on used cars. In April 2000, the marketing manager was given three months to come up with a profitable campaign to boost sales with a budget of $2 million and to be launched August 2000.
