The house of Representatives and Senate can veto each others Bills. The second branch of the government is the Executive branch. Article II section 1: “The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” The Executive branch is the branch that enforces and carries out the law . In the Executive Branch the President has the power to veto bills passed by the Legislative branch or let it sit on his desk for 10 days , if the bill sits on his desk for 10 days it becomes a law. If the President veto’s the bill it is sent back to congress and can override the presidents veto by 2/3’s the vote of congress. The President also has the power to appoint judges in the Judicial Branch. The last branch of the government is the Judicial Branch. It is created by Article III section 1 “The judicial power of the United States shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.” The Judicial branch is the branch that Interprets the law.
