A large portion of the people who watch TV are students and they have picked up on the importance of this war. They have figured out that voting will make a difference if this war continues on and/ or who will lead it. Either way students have decided to pay attention to this issue in great concern, because who knows they could be on the front lines soon. In addition to the respect for the war in Iraq, another source of enlightenment among students comes from the campaigns of both Bush and Kerry. Both have led huge campaigns on reaching out to the young voters of America, the students, in a way to persuade them to get involved. From concerts to speeches, both Bush and Kerry have been trying. Students have begun to listen and pay attention to the issues that are involved in this election. In a way, this election has opened a new window of opportunity for students to be a part of this election. The Vote for Change Tour headed by a few bands in order to gain support for John Kerry has been working. Students of a young age pay attention to famous/ stars rather then old men bickering. Also, there is a lot of information online. This stimulates the interest among students. Celebrities such as Arnold and Matt Damon have made appearances at rallies and speeches to help promote student awareness of the importance of voting and the importance of politics.
