... search for wood and sure enough, found a nice, smooth piece in my neighbor’s garage. Bob and I asked him if we could use it because we were trying to make a skateboard jump. He said, “Sure that used to be the side of our pool table but broke off when we played on it. It would be a lot of money to put back together so we decided to get a new one.” We both thanked him and ran down my driveway to place the wood over my bricks. When we went to go get the bricks, they weren’t there. Robert and I went into my house and asked my Dad if he used the bricks for something. My Dad stated, “I use those bricks to weight down our basketball hoop so it won’t blow away. I do have a good friend that could probably let you have a few. Come on you two, get in my truck. He just lives down the street.” My Dad’s friend gave us about eight bricks. Bob and I went to my driveway and started to construct our jump. At five o’clock in the evening, we went to get our skateboards. I let Bob go off the jump first because I wanted to see if it worked. He went speeding down the driveway keeping his balance and cruised in the air as he went off the smooth jump. As he reached his peak, he and the red skateboard came flying into the grind. His poise was unbelievable as he grinded the whole foot and a half of wood.
