You could tell how tired they are; after all they had been patrolling on foot who knows how many miles already. You could see the sweat dripping down from under there helmets. The road of course isn’t like the type of road you would see here in the states, but for you who haven’t been in a third world country, potholes, humungous rocks thrown in the middle of the road, the locals not even caring, they just drive around them. Out of nowhere rounds just start to fly, you hear the automatic fire from the AK-47. Everybody looking around trying to figure out where it’s coming from, that’s when you here the ricochets coming from the truck, that’s when you know they are aiming for you. The adrenaline just running throughout your whole body not knowing weather or not the next bullet is going to hit you. My friend a pfc in the Marine corps went through these feelings upfront, when a insurgent ran in front of his vehicle, unloading a magazine into his truck, not hitting him nor the driver, only the gunner.
