...lso be sending home a weekly behavior log (more on that later). I would like for you to please go over these with your child, remove the papers, sign the folder and behavior logs, and return the folder on Monday. I will occasionally be sending homework home with your child. This will mostly be work that was not completed by the end of the school day. Unless otherwise stated, this work must be returned completed the following morning or it will be recorded as incomplete. Three incomplete assignments can result in a day of ISS. Some homework assignments will be in the form of projects which will need to be completed by a certain due date. I will send individual instructions home with these. For the first half of the year, I will be sending home any papers during the week that have earned a D or a F. These papers must be signed by a parent, corrected, and returned the next day. I will give half credit for any missed points that were corrected. After the first semester, the policy will change slightly and I will keep you up to date on that. I want to help your child grow into a responsible adult. Because of this goal, I have established expectations and procedures we will follow in our classroom. I will treat our classroom as the student’s place of employment and will try to instill good work ethics in all our proceedings. I have attached a list of classroom expectations along with consequences and rewards. Please read these with your child, then sign and return.
