...tly there has been major studies carried out that suggest that the extreme far right parties are most likely to emerge as a success under proportional electoral systems, they are popular with anti-libertarian, the young that are disillusioned with politics, possibly unemployed, and vulnerable groups. Therefore it is of no surprise that most of the far right parties that have developed throughout Europe came into existence and gained real voting support after the post-war periods. Looking back into our European history I can see that there has been significant changes in each country towards becoming more integrated. This was most prevalent in 1950-55 to 1973-74 when there was a post-war economic ‘boom’ which led to a massive demand for foreign workers across all of Europe to help deal with filling job posts. This led to a massive influx of immigrants or asylum seekers into other countries. If we take Britain for example, in the past the British Empire had an ‘open door policy’ which allowed immigrants that were part of the British Empire easy and free entry into our country.
