In the United States, African Americans are pushing themselves more to achieve college education so that they would be treated with more respect and dignity. Amanda Heyman said, “Those who have experienced racial discrimination would want educational credentials as great if not greater than those of a Caucasian person. Because people of color generally tend to be in lower socioeconomic strata, they recognize that education is a way out. The Government of the United States after seeing the great potentials of college education are perfecting college tuition and making colleges more accountable for student performance. With education, a person can easily surmount any obstacle in his/her life. It enables a person to stand on his feet and is likely to determine the future of that person. Education assists in acquiring a wide range of knowledge in diverse subjects as well as an advanced understanding of their major subject. College also trains students to express their thoughts clearly in speech and in writing and to make informed decisions. The knowledge attained from College helps during professional career building. Learning in college requires a lot of research work and these days there is so much of competition between students that every individual is thriving to attain more knowledge. These research abilities result in problem solving techniques, which can be used to overcome any problems. The tough life of a College teaches its students to face everyday hardships since there they have to fight their own battles without the guardianship of their parents. College education because of its great importance is considered as a million-dollar gift from parents to their children. Not everyone is lucky enough to have their parents help with school. In fact many students are hindered by their parent’s success for the government only helps out those in need. So if your parents make too much money and aren’t going to pay for your schooling you’re out of luck. But the smart choice is not to give up and to still pursue that degree. Education is a priceless gift, since it enhances cultural, emotional, intellectual and social awareness. Ask yourself if you have ever heard any individual wish that they did not have a college degree. By investing more money in college education, governments want their citizens to graduate in huge number from these institutions and in turn serve their countries with the knowledge they have attained. Better professionals in the market will lead to a good reputation of their country globally. Hence, it is clear that college education imparts to one the ability to tackle serious problems, to earn one’s livelihood, to be able to live in a constantly modifying world, to be cultured, to be sensitive and responsive to the spiritual values of life. Public benefits attained, as a result of attending colleges would cause tax revenues to expand, increase workplace productivity, increase consumption and increase workforce flexibility. College education also teaches an individual the true value of money. All of world’s greatest inventor, scientists, politicians, educationists and entrepreneur have attained their college education. The value of college education is immense. It makes a man understand the world around him better. He learns to fight for his rights and interacts with people belonging to diverse cultures and nations. If one decides to major in English, then he will greatly be involved in writing papers based on various articles and novels. Majoring in Business will teach scholars the art of running a business with a tactful mind.
