...to do with the boys watching the movie “Chucky” I would say that the movie might have given some inspiration, but a normal child can watch a scare movie without killing a 2 year old. There must be something wrong with our society, obviously when people are killing each other, and I really do think that it could be some of the reason for this murder. If these two boys haven’t been taught wrong from right, and if they haven’t been told that “Chucky” is only a movie made to entertain, then it is almost understandable. But you can not justify it, no matter what. The way they did it was barbaric - horrible. These boys must have been sick, there must have been something very wrong with them, and there aren’t any excuse for what they have done. I think that you can hold these boys responsible for their actions, there are supposedly old enough to know and understand that what they how done is a crime - it is against the low, and they have to be punished like everyone else. I’m not sure if indefinite detention is the appropriate sentence, because I don’t know how long they should be in jail, what measures up to the fact that they have killed another human being. The most important thing is that they learn and realize that what they have done is wrong, and they have to get some help. I don’t think you should free them before you are absolutely sure that they can function normal, and don’t do something like that again, if this is possible.
