For example in “Self” one of his three books, he [the main character] is a man who wakes up to find that his gender has changed overnight, in other words he turned into a woman. And I think to myself, well, okay… obviously he couldn’t have lived it. But he describes feelings so well, and he uses the perfect words at the perfect times. I think he’s really good with that. I think that’s why I wanted to do this presentation/project on him.
