Harry sees this as a opportunity to get away from the life he is living now and start a new one. Harry finally arrives at the school and could not believe what he was seeing. He was amazed at everything that the school was made up of and what was inside of it. After arriving along with the other first year students they are lectured about the school and everything that they will be learning. They were all then sectioned into various groups who then went into different houses. They would eat, sleep, and study in these houses bonding with the other students that they were living with. Harry is appointed to live in the house of Gryffindor with some friends that he had met before. The first year students begin to learn of a mysterious secret that lies deep within Hogwarts. This secret is being kept from them by a group of elite professors. Two of these professors were Albus Dumbledore and Snape and they were two of the few that try to keep the secrets from the students. Professor Snape does not like Harry Potter as soon as school begins and feels that he needs to prove himself to Harry that he is better. After settling into his house Harry is punished by Professor McGonagall because Harry was flying on his broomstick when ordered not to. Harry goes down to the office and finds to his surprise the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team waiting for him. Instead of getting punished Harry was praised for his flying abilities and was appointed the position of the seeker on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. While training on the team Harry and his friends explore the secret of the school. Hagrid continues to give them clues so they keep on exploring. Harry and the first year students sneak out one night and get caught by Filch who is the caretaker of Hogwarts. They run from him and they eventually find themselves in a forbidden part of the west wing. They realize why it is forbidden when they come face to face with a three headed dog who is guarding a trap door. The children keep exploring and finally realize that underneath this animal is the Sorcerers stone. This stone is a extremely powerful stone because it can turn anything into pure gold and it can also make a person immortal. The friends come to the conclusion that professor Snape is trying to steal the Sorcerers stone because of all his secret talks with Quirrel who is the defense against the dark arts professor. The students realize that they need to save the Sorcerers stone. To get past the giant dog they play music to soothe it to sleep in order to enter the trapdoor. Then they come to a locked door and Harry finds a glittery bird that is used as a key to unlock the door. After they got through this doo...
