One day he is going to collect money from a woman for the church and he meets The Yeoman, he later turns into the devil. They both continue to the house on the way they find a man whose cart is stuck in the mud. The summoner wants to take his stuff but the yeoman says no and they continue on. When they arrived at the woman’s house he tells her she has been summoned by the court. They say if they don’t pay them what they want they will take her to jail, but she is poor and does not have what they want. She tells the summoner he is a liar and if he doesn’t tell the truth the devil will ...
