Hamlet Synopsis

Hamlet is not sure if he believes the ghost in the beginning of the play. When Hamlet first hears what the ghost has to say, he is not sure if the ghost is telling the truth or if the ghost is a devil that is playing a trick on him. At this point Hamlet is very skeptical of the ghost’s story. Also, at this point, Hamlet is not the type of person that would go around trying to kill someone unless he had proof that there was wrongdoing in his father’s death. After Hamlet sets up Claudius during the play that he staged, the appearance of the ghost brings a change in Hamlet. From this point on, Hamlet is obsessed with getting revenge.
